I’m Hillary Lytle, the owner of The Cake Box. I am a graduate of The French Pastry School in Chicago. I have also graduated from a two year culinary program, which is where my passion for dessert was started.

I love cake! I believe that you eat with your eyes, so not only should your cake taste great, it should look great too. This is where I differ from other cake bakeries who may only focus on one of those senses, not both. I consider myself not only a pastry cook, but an artist as well.

Established in 2009, The Cake Box offers custom specialty cakes and cupcakes. We design every cake carefully to fulfill your cake dreams. Flavors, fillings and designs are all customizable, so the possibilities are never ending.

We are not your typical grocery store birthday cake. All of our cakes are baked fresh for you which in turn gives you the best tasting cake possible. We use fresh eggs, milk and real butter, we NEVER use shortening in anything.
